Glenwood teams qualify for state mock trials

Two teams from Glenwood Springs will represent the West Slope in the statewide mock-trial competition.

The Glenwood Springs A and C teams finished first and second respectively and will compete March 8 and 9 in the state competition in Fort Collins.

Jurors recognized the Glenwood Springs B team for its professionalism. Jurors from the Collbran Job Corps Center also recognized Glenwood Springs B as the top team.

The R-5 High School team was awarded the John Sideek Trophy by the Mesa County Bar Association.

The West Slope competition included four teams from Glenwood Springs, two from Durango and R-5.
