Experience Counts
Home Loan Insurance’s expertise is unparalleled in the Grand Valley. Since 1897, Home Loan has been the premier insurance agency of Western Colorado, serving all sizes and types of businesses. Our multitude of valued relationships in the insurance industry, as well as those we have with loss control specialists, claims management providers, safety professionals and more allow us to partner with you to manage your company’s risk.
Here at Home Loan Insurance, we have a different approach. We’re not your typical insurance agency offering you a quote and maybe following up at renewal. We want to be your long term risk management partner. When it comes to insurance coverage for your business or benefits for your employees, our true goal is to help you identify risk, develop a strategy, implement a program and monitor the results. Insurance is just one of the tools to assist with the mitigation and transfer of risk and our experts can help you every step of the process
Home Loan is firmly rooted in the Western Slope community. We do business locally and we donate locally. When you do business with Home Loan Insurance you are giving back to the Western Slope community. Each year we give back over $150,000 to local non-profit organizations on the Western Slope and many of our employees enjoy being involved in various non-profit organizations. We are proud to support those groups that assist the needy, educate and enhance the lifestyle of our children, and make the Western Slope an overall better place to live!

Contractor insurance programs are complex and ever changing.
If your business is a subcontractor, general contractor, or developer; our experienced staff at Home Loan Insurance can help your organization build the necessary insurance program.  We feel that one of the most beneficial services we can provide our clients is to educate them.  If the client has an understanding of the coverages needed for their operations, they can then make the necessary decisions on what coverage they will purchase and what risk they will self-insure.
Often times, we have found that general contractors and subcontractors have policy exclusions that they are not aware of. Insurance carriers will limit their exposure on residential construction. They do this by putting a limitation on the number of homes you can work on in a single development, or the number of units within a building. It’s also common for insurance carriers to have different definitions for what is residential and what is commercial and we know that in Western Colorado you may work on both residential and commercial projects. These definition complications are common for apartments or senior living facilities.
As a contractor, it’s crucial to know the limitations and our team of professionals can provide the risk management, risk transfer, and review process necessary to provide contractors with what is best for their success.
A key differentiator with Home Loan Insurance is that we continue to work with our clients once the policy is purchased.  We do this by providing safety training, certificate of insurance review, contractual risk transfer review, and claims management.  Where most agencies finish we are just beginning!
