Aromas of gooey caramel rolls, nut-topped fried cinnamon rolls and delicious holiday treats greet you when entering Home Style Bakery.
One of the last true bakeries left in Colorado, this old-fashioned shop was founded in 1948. Walt Schultz and Al Troester employed five people at 940 North Avenue. After Twenty-four years, Walt moved the bakery to 924 N. 7th Street. Don and Jan Wilke became owners in April, 1976.
Don’s specialty, cinnamon-sugar encrusted raisin bread, consistently earns the honor “The Toast of the Town,” while their wedding and birthday cakes, cookies, bagels, pastries, donuts and breads satisfy every discriminating taste.
