Where did you grow up?
Grand Junction, attended GJHS and Mesa State.

Family:
Married to my husband Brad for the past 22 years. We have two daughters — Shannon, 34, and Sabré, 25 — and one son, Payton, 20.  We have three grandsons: Taylor, 15, Afton, 10, and our new little guy, Ryan Jr., 4 months.

What do you enjoy most about living in the Grand Junction area?
The great outdoors and our endless recreational activities. Blue skies and lots of sunshine!  I live on Glade Park where my grandparents had a homestead and where my mother was born and raised.  I LOVE living in the mountains!

How long have you worked in real estate?
Been in business for seven years, and prior to that in the mortgage business for 15 years.

What would you consider your specialty?
First-time home buyers and mountain property.

What is the most challenging/ gratifying aspect of what you do?
I love that my clients become my friends and I receive referrals from them regularly. The most challenging aspect for me is the financing and lending side of real estate. It is important to work with a reputable lender and stay informed ourselves, as rules seem to be constantly changing.

Describe your most memorable real estate transaction.
It was a VERY difficult deal that I worked both sides as a transaction broker:  Out-of-state lender, buyer in Afghanistan, and this being the first part of a four-part domino effect.  We got it done!  Even with the crazy time schedules and poor communication out of the Middle East! Everyone was happy in the end!

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home today?
Get pre-approved with a reputable local lender!

What is one tip you have for someone looking to sell a home today?
Use a Realtor that knows the market of what you are trying to sell, and listen to what they recommend.

What do you see in the future of real estate sales/prices?
I see a steady increase, but hopefully nothing like the “bubble” we have seen in the past.  A good, healthy, steady increase as long as rates don’t go too high.

Why should someone use you as a real estate agent?
I work very hard for ALL my clients no matter what the sales price is.  I do take my job personally and truly value my clients and appreciate how important they are to my success!
