Powderhorn season ends Sunday

Powderhorn Mountain Resort announced its final day of the ski season will be Sunday.

The resort remains open for daily operations. Lifts will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, Thursday and Sunday. It will have extended hours for the Take Four Quad and Easy Rider lifts until 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The resort reported Tuesday its snow base is 72 inches.

Powderhorn passes on sale now

Powderhorn Mountain Resort is selling 2014-15 season passes with discounted pricing available until April 20.

The spring price for an adult full-season pass is $410, which is a minimum of 30 percent savings over the regular rate and is the lowest rate available. Many different passes are available, and preseason pass purchase is available online at http://www.powderhorn.com, the Powderhorn ticket office during normal business hours, or via phone: 970-268-5700, ext. 2100.

Powderhorn will again join other mountain resorts for either free or reduced-rate lift tickets. Partnership resorts include Purgatory Mountain Resort; Sipapu Resort, N.M.; Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, Nev., and additional resorts and local businesses will be added throughout the summer.

College and military passes will be available in the fall.
