Time to celebrate

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo a day early.

The first option is 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Lincoln Park. Live entertainment begins at 11 a.m. with activities all day, including the La Mexicana Ballet Folklorico Dance Group at 1 p.m. and a car show at 3 p.m. An evening dance in the Lincoln Park Barn begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $15 at the door.

Another Cinco de Mayo celebration is the 33rd annual Downtown Celebration from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the 500–600 blocks of Colorado Avenue. It will feature Latino music, dancing and college scholarship presentations, according to downtowngj.org. Multiple vendors will be there.

On the farm

Baby animals. The end.

In all seriousness, take the family to Spring Day on the Farm from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cross Orchards Historic Site, 3073 F Road.

Cost is $15 per family or $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3.50 for children. The day will simulate life on a historic farm and will include demonstrations, blacksmithing and more.

Yes, baby farm animals will be there.

On a wing

The newest album from singer/songwriter Joshua Radin goes on sale.

Titled “Wax Wings,” Radin is self-releasing this album, which contains 11 tracks. It is Radin’s fifth studio album.
