Case joins Heiden Homes
Realty and Associates
Shandie Case has joined Heiden Homes Realty and Associates as a broker associate.
Shandie, one of the youngest Realtors in Grand Junction at 22 years of age, brings solid experience and knowledge of the Mesa County market to Heiden Homes Realty. She has owned rental units for more than two years, beginning with a home she purchased with her fiancee while living in Denver. They later added two rental units in Mesa County.
“The income supported us when we made the leap moving back from Denver,” Shandie said.
The couple moved back to Grand Junction, Shandie’s hometown, in 2012. She says the Denver experience brought her back.
“It helps make you appreciate what we have in this valley,” she said. “The sense of community, of being safe, the quality of the people here. People are honest and passionate about what they do, and they value family.”
Shandie was a go-getter even before she graduated from high school. She served on the Grand Junction City Youth Council as a member, secretary and City Youth Mayor.
“It gave me a rich understanding of the issues that face our valley,” she said. Shandie and her fiancée, Alexander Fedak, do remodeling and cleanup work on properties. She also works for a trucking company, CaseCo, LLC, with her parents, DeDee and Boone Case, and Shandie’s grandmother, Kathy Tomkins. Tomkins joined Heiden Homes Realty as a Realtor in 2013. As if she didn’t have enough on her schedule, Shandie works a few hours a week for the United Parcel Service. She has a passion for serving clients as a Realtor.
“Having acquired rentals, I know what it’s like to start out not knowing what to do,” she said. Helping clients understand and go through the process of buying property is a satisfying experience for Shandie.
She’s glad she landed at Heiden Homes Realty, working with Managing Broker Toni Heiden.
“We’re down here in the heart of downtown and we have wonderful people here,” Shandie said of the company that features 13 agents and a support staff. “It’s nice that we have a support system here. It’s almost as if you’re choosing a team.”
Shandie keeps her nose to the grindstone, balancing several jobs. She also plans to continue to enjoy western Colorado experience.
“I’m family oriented,” she said. “I was born and raised here and my parents are absolutely wonderful.”
Heiden Homes Realty is located at 735 Rood Avenue in downtown Grand Junction. Managing Broker and Owner Toni Heiden is a three time winner of the U.S. Commerce Association’s Best of Grand Junction Award in the Real Estate Agents and Managers category. Heiden Homes was recognized for marketing and community involvement.
