Jalyn VanConett, CCIM, a broker associate with RE/MAX 4000, Inc. in Grand Junction, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute.

The designation was awarded during the Institute’s spring business meetings April 25 in Kansas City, Mo.

Jalyn was among the 141 commercial real estate professionals who earned the designation by passing the Institute’s Comprehensive Examination, the final element in the designation process.

This new group of CCIM designees hails from 34 states, as well as Canada and Mexico.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the newest CCIM designees,” said 2012 CCIM Institute President Leil Koch. “Earning the designation is a great achievement, and we congratulate all those who are now a part of the organization’s history.”

The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of an advanced analytical curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying industry experience.

The curriculum addresses financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis and investment analysis – the cornerstones of commercial investment real estate.

CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis. Jalyn has achieved other numerous awards from RE/MAX International such as 100% Club in 2007 and 2008 and Executive Club in 2009, 2010, and 2011. The CCIM business network encompasses more than 1,000 markets throughout North America, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean. Of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, more than 9,000 currently hold the CCIM designation. CCIM Designees include professionals who work in brokerage, investment and development, the corporate environment, property management, appraisal and related segments of commercial real estate.
