Genova Appointed to Board of Directors,
Colorado Association of Realtors®

Marjorie Genova, CRS, Broker Associate with RE/MAX 4000, was recently installed as the division vice president for board services at the Colorado Association of Realtors® annual meeting in Denver. There are approximately 20,000 Realtors® in Colorado and the Board Services Division oversees professional standards, ethics, and saw and policy for the organization.

Genova has been a real estate broker for 22 years in Grand Junction and has served in various capacities, since 1998, on the Grand Junction Association of Realtors® board of directors as well as representing Grand Junction on the state board of directors.

All Realtors® must subscribe to the real estate code of ethics and as members of the National Association of Realtors® they have promised to adhere to higher standards of practice than those set forth by the Division of Real Estate. Colorado Association of Realtors® division of board services insures that members follow these standards with committees pertaining to arbitrations, ethics, grievance, mediations, risk management, and appeals. The Division also offers an ombudsman program to work with certain issues.

“Realtors® belong to a profession who police their own members”, said Genova. “It is important for the public to be sure that the agent in their real estate transaction is a Realtor®.”

Marjorie Genova can be reached at her office, RE/MAX 4000 (970) 683-2556.
