RAY RICKARD OF RE/MAX 4000 INC. HONORED
Ray Rickard CCIM , RE/MAX 4000 Inc, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute. The designation was awarded during the Institute fall business meetings in October in Phoenix.
Rickard was among 348 commercial real estate professionals who earned the designation by passing the institute’s comprehensive examination, the final element in the designation process.
The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of a graduate-level education curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying industry experience. The curriculum addresses financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis and investment analysis — the cornerstones of commercial investment real estate. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis.
The CCIM business network encompasses more than 1,000 markets around the world. CCIM designees include professionals who work in brokerage, investment and development, the corporate environment, property management, appraisal and related segments of commercial real estate.

BURKHARD EARNS REALTOR OF THE YEAR
Michael Burkhard received the Realtor of the Year Award at the annual Grand Junction Area Realtor Association installation in October. Burkhard has been in the Grand Junction area since 1976 and is a Colorado native. He received his real estate license in 1982 and returned to his real estate career in 2002.
Burkhard served as the local MLS chairman for a number of years, was the vice president of CREN at the onset of the project and he worked closely with the Grand Junction Area Realtor Association on a number of information gathering projects. He also served as the state president for the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) and is currently the past state president for CRS.
The National Association of Realtors, the Council of Residential Specialist, the Colorado Association of Realtors, and the Grand Junction Area Realtor Association are where Burkhard has invested and dedicated his professional life as a strong advocate for serving the public and his profession.
