Restraining order hearing in Sheen case postponed

A Pitkin County hearing to determine whether actor Charlie Sheen can have contact with his wife, Brooke Mueller, has been postponed until Friday.

The hearing had been scheduled for this morning, but Mueller’s attorneys filed a motion Tuesday morning asking to let her participate by phone rather than in person because of a medical issue, said Stephanie Dasaro, spokeswoman for the Aspen Police Department.

Ninth Judicial District Judge James Boyd instead delayed the hearing because he wants Mueller to participate in person.

Sheen, star of the television show “Two and a Half Men,” was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence Christmas Day in Aspen.

He is hoping to have a restraining order prohibiting contact with Mueller lifted.
