Steve Fleming, ALC
Owner/Managing Broker
RE/MAX Two Rivers Realty, Inc.

Where were you born? How long have you lived in Mesa County? What do you like most about it?
I was born in Minnesota and moved to Grand Junction in 1981. The mild climate and abundant outdoor recreation opportunities drew us to the Grand Valley.

Family?
My wife, Regina and I were married in 1975. We have two married daughters and five grandchildren.

How long have you worked in real estate?
I obtained my real estate license in 1976 and have been active in real estate since. Prior to that, I was a home builder. In 1991, my business partner, Jay Fellhauer, and I started RE/MAX Two Rivers Realty. I’ve done all types of real estate over the years but focus primarily on land and commercial real estate.

What is your specialty and what does that mean for the people you work with?

I am an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) and long-time member of the Realtors’ Land Institute. There are over 1.1 million Realtors in the United States and only 2,200 of them hold the ALC designation. Accredited Land Consultants are the most accomplished, most experienced and the highest performing land sales experts in the country. What that means is that I can help people buying or selling land, whether it is recreation, agricultural (farm or ranch), commercial, industrial or residential.

What is the one tip you have for someone wanting to buy property?
Even though I specialize in western Colorado, I can help customers buy property almost anywhere. Through the Realtors’ Land Institute. I have sold farms, ranches, orchards, vineyards, hunting properties and fishing properties as well as commercial and residential property. A few years ago I even sold a hunting safari ranch in South Africa.

What is the one tip you have for someone who is looking to sell property?
Because of my contacts I can help people sell their property by marketing it locally, regionally and nationally.

Why should someone choose you as their real estate agent?
Because of my background, my experience, my education, my long-term track record and my integrity.

What do you most enjoy when you’re not working?
I spend my free time with my family and friends enjoying the outdoors — hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and ranching.
