Tickets now available to hear Ron Paul speak
Tickets for former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s appearance Sept. 24 in Grand Junction are now available.
Paul, who ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for president in 2008 and 2012, will speak at the Colorado Mesa University Grand Ballroom.
Admission is free, but tickets are required.
Nearly half the tickets already are taken, most of them by students from around Colorado and the West, organizer Tisha Casida said.
“We have people coming all the way from Montana for the event,” Casida said.
The event is drawing people because Paul’s legacy is nearing an end, Casida said. She did leave a message with Paul’s son, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., but hasn’t heard back, Casida said.
She declined to disclose Paul’s speaker’s fee.
People can sign up for tickets at http://imaginethat911.com/blue-republican/.
Tickets are to be emailed to participants about a week before Paul’s appearance.
Those without internet access can arrange for tickets by calling 719-369-0623.
