Real Estate West
Tina Harbin, owner and managing broker of Real Estate West, announces that the company is celebrating its third year in business in some of the most challenging times in real estate in Grand Junction!
Originally licensed in Georgia in 1974, Harbin opened the company in April of 2007 as the sole and only real estate agent. Shortly thereafter, experienced agents in the Grand Valley began checking out the company’s unique philosophy, and today there are 28 seasoned real estate professionals affiliated with Real Estate West. Their uniqueness is in several aspects: all agents at Real Estate West must be experienced, with a minimum of 2 years real estate background; currently all agents at the company have at least 5 years experience and some as much as 30 years.
Real Estate West is locally owned and operated; all the commissions earned at the company remain in Mesa County – there are no franchise fees that are paid to entities outside of the area. The real estate agents at Real Estate West are treated as true independent contractors, whereby, they have the freedom to negotiate with their clients on the spot, and run their business however works best for them – all within the frameworks of the Grand Junction Realtor Association, The Colorado Association of Realtors, and The National Association of Realtors.
Tina Harbin says, “I wanted to create a company where agents did a fair and equitable business with the highest possible commission splits and the lowest possible fees. I also wanted to create a real estate company where there was very little broker imposed stress as a result of individual sales quotas or goals. As a company, we have goals, but each agent sets their own goals for themselves. I’ve found that without individual quotas, the agents are free to do real estate more creatively, and in many cases, excel over what they would have done with the more stress-related philosophies. Our atmosphere is such that we have a free interchange of ideas and we believe that the ‘whole is greater than the sum of its parts!’”
Located at 1001 N 5 St in Grand Junction, Real Estate West’s outlook for the future is strong, as more and more agents inquire about this unique real estate organization. Contact Real Estate West by phone at 970-243-7100 or via their website, http://www.realestatewestonline.com
