‘A Faculty Showcase’ concert 
at CMU

The Colorado Mesa University music season will come to a close with the presentation of the CMU Wind Symphony’s “A Faculty Showcase” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Robinson Theatre in the Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.

Stephen Page will perform Claude T. Smith’s “Fantasia for Alto Saxophone” with the symphony, and Sean Flanigan and Jonathan Hinkle will perform “Fandango,” a duet for trombone and trumpet by Joseph Turrin, according to a news release.

Other featured pieces are “Danse Baccahnale” from “Samson and Delilah” by Camille Saint-Saens, “Machu Picchu — City in the Sky” by Satoshi Yagisawa and “Celebration Tribalesque” by Randall Standridge, the release said.

Tickets to the final concert of the 2012–13 season are $10 adults, $8 seniors, $5 students and can be purchased at the box office.
