Cops: Man pointed rifle

Tor Larson, 36, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of menacing and prohibited use of weapons after officers were called Sunday night to assist the fire department on an illegal burn call at a home in the 1300 block of North Seventh Street, according to an arrest affidavit. When officers tried to contact the occupants of the home, nobody answered the door but officers allegedly saw a man inside the home holding a rifle, the affidavit said. “Larson was holding the rifle with his right hand near the trigger and his left hand on the forend. Initially the gun was pointed at the ground and Larson raised it up placing the stock to his right shoulder and pointing it at Officer Goodell and I,” an officer wrote in the affidavit. Larson was arrested without further incident.
