‘Frozen,’ Marvel, Patterson part of
bookstore’s Get Pop-Cultured events
Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 2451 Patterson Road, will continue its Get Pop-Cultured events this week with activities related to “Frozen,” Marvel and James Patterson.
At 7 p.m. Friday, the store will celebrate “Frozen Friday: Cool Off with Olaf!” with a special story time, crafts, a sing-along and other activities.
On Saturday, there will be giveaways and activities to mark Marvel’s 75th anniversary.
Sunday will be James Patterson Day at the store with giveaways, prizes, special offers and activities.

Local authors speak at Off the Shelf
Crystal Books and Gifts, 439 Main St., will host local authors Rebecca Carpenter and Cindy Stein at its next Off The Shelf event from 6–8 p.m. Thursday.
Carpenter, author of “Total Destruction of Chloe Wilson,” will speak at 6:15 p.m. about teen pregnancy. Cindy Stein, author of “Spiral of Darkness” and “Sanctuary: Family, Friends, and Strangers,” will speak at 7 p.m. about how she turned an urban legend into a novel.
