•Palisade rolls in Aspen tourney

It was a good day Saturday for the Palisade High School softball team as the Bulldogs scored a combined 32 runs in two games at the Aspen Tournament. Palisade defeated Aspen 15-0 in the first game led by Emily Crow who struck out seven batters in four innings.

In the second game, Palisade put up 10 runs in the first inning on its way to a 17-2 win overBasalt. Shelby Hanson allowed only one hit on the mound as well as hitting a two-run home run.

• Palisade plays Tuesday at home against Montrose.

• In prep football, Steamboat Springs defeated Holy Family 41-21, Bayfield took down Montezuma-Cortez 22-17 and Faith Christian blanked Eagle Valley 41-0.
