College Soccer

• The Mesa State College men’s soccer team will go into RMAC play this weekend with a 3-1 record.
The Mavericks rebounded from their first loss of the season with a 4-0 victory over the University of Mary (N.D.) on Sunday in Billings, Mont.
Redshirt freshman Andy Cornia scored two goals, including one assisted by Jake Jobe and one on a penalty kick. Freshman Marco Angelo and senior Eric Anderson scored unassisted goals for the Mavs.
Mesa State goalkeeper Josh Tinaglia made five saves.

Golf

• The Ping fitting van will be at the Tiara Rado Golf Course driving range on Sept. 10 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
No appointment is necessary for iron fitting, which is free. An appointment is needed on the launch monitor for a wood fitting.
