• Mesa women sweeps Kearney

The Mesa State College women’s tennis team swept the University of Nebraska-Kearney 9-0 in a non-conference dual Thursday in Kearney, Neb.
It was the Mavericks’ (5-0) fourth sweep in five duals this fall.
Mesa State won all six singles matches in straight sets. Sophomores Kate Lowder and Victoria Sargent needed a tiebreaker to defeat Mary Outhwaite and Callie Erickson 9-8 (7-3) at No. 1 doubles. 
The Mavericks play in the Wilson Intercollegiate Tennis Association tournament today through Sunday in Kearney.
