High School Soccer

• Central got the 16th and final home berth in the first round of the 32-team Class 5A state playoff bracket as the state soccer pairings were announced on Sunday.

The Warriors (11-1-2), who won the Southwestern League, play host to No. 17 Green Mountain. First-round games are Tuesday or Wednesday.

The date and time of the day will be determined between the two schools today.

Durango, which was second in the SWL, got the 27th seed and travels to Colorado Springs to play Pine Creek in the first round.

Palisade got the Western Slope League’s fourth and final playoff berth. The Bulldogs (8-6-0) were the last seed in the 4A state bracket.

They will travel to play No. 1-seeded and unbeaten Wheat Ridge for the first round on Tuesday or Wednesday.
