Prep Volleyball

• Palisade High School earned its first victory of the season, but the Bullogs had to work for it. Palisade (1-4, 1-1 Class 4A Western Slope League) won at Glenwood Springs 29-27, 25-27, 26-24, 25-21.
Kendra Collette had 10 kills, 16 digs and three solo blocks for Palisade. Teammate Chelsea Lorimor added 11 kilss, 12 digs, two solo and one assisted block.

Prep Softball

• Fruita Monument bounced back from its loss to Central on Tuesday by winning at Montrose 3-2.
The Wildcats (7-5, 3-1 Southwestern League) remained one game behind Central in the league standings with the victory.

Prep Golf

• Delta’s Donnie Stewart won a playoff with Rifle’s Klayton Constanzo to win invididual medalist honors at Thursday’s Coal Ridge Invitational at Lakota Canyon Golf Course.
Both players shot 70 in regulation.
Summit won the tournament with a 241, finishing four strokes ahead of Eagle Valley.
Palisade placed 10th, Ben Laro leading the Bulldogs with an 84.
