Canada teen dies playing basketball in Aspen

ASPEN — A 16-year-old boy from Canada has died while playing basketball in the gym at Aspen High School.

Quinn Issiah Everring of Toronto, Canada, was participating in the Aspen Basketball Academy.

Police were called after Everring collapsed and bystanders tried to revive him.

The official cause of death will be released by the Pitkin County Coroner’s Office pending the completion of an autopsy.
