City Council approves negotiations for professional baseball

Grand Junction City Council tonight authorized City Manager Laurie Kadrich to continue negotiations with Monfort Investment Group on the possibility of bringing a minor league baseball team to Grand Junction. After meeting in executive session for more than an hour, the council took no action, but an item requiring a vote of the council is expected to be placed on the Oct. 17 City Council agenda.
