Academic honors for CMU golfers

Colorado Mesa golfers Brandon Bingaman, Michelle Stripp and Tyler Hunt were selected to the RMAC All-Academic team.

Bingaman made the men’s first team with a 3.63 GPA in kinesiology. He was the Academic Player of the year in 2012 as a junior.

Stripp made the women’s first team with a 3.62 GPA in business. Hunt made the men’s honor roll with a 3.31 GPA in construction management.

Delta High School graduate Donny Stewart of Regis made the honor roll with a 3.61 GPA in business management.

To qualify for the RMAC All-Academic team, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.30 or better, be a starter or reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution.

 

College Tennis

6 Mavs on RMAC academic team

 

Six Colorado Mesa women’s tennis players and one men’s player made the RMAC All-Academic team.

Sophomores Jordan Lyden (3.41 GPA, business) and Kristyn Wykert (3.92 GPA, business) made the men’s and women’s first team.

Junior Kaylee Davis (4.00, biology) and senior Skyler Nelson (3.76, environmental science) made the women’s second team.

Leah Campbell (3.90, English), Nicole Lessley (3.51, exercise science) and Shannen McNamara (3.38, biology) made the honor roll.
