RSSColorado Mesa men win battle inside the paint
Michael Bear scored 18 points and Mike Melillo added 10 to lead the Colorado Mesa men’s basketball team to a 69-53 victory over RMAC rival Fort Lewis at Brownson Arena.
The Mavericks (6-3, 4-1 RMAC) limited Fort Lewis (4-4, 2-2 RMAC) to 31 percent shooting from the floor and make 19 of 25 free throws.
Colorado Mesa went on a 13-3 run in the second half to lead 62-47. Melillo hit two 3-pointers during the run.
