Colorado says it hasn’t offered coaching job yet

BOULDER — The University of Colorado is denying reports that it has picked a new football coach.

CU athletic director Mike Bohn issued a statement today saying the search committee hasn’t completed its work and CU hasn’t offered the job to anyone yet.

The Denver Post reported that former CU coach Bill McCartney said that the school had offered the job to Jon Embree, the tight ends coach for the Washington Redskins.

Bohn said CU hopes to make a head coach announcement in the coming days.
