Colorado rodeo finals contested at fairgrounds

The Colorado Professional Rodeo Association year-end finals begin on Friday Sept. 17, and continue through Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Mesa County Fairgrounds, 2785 U.S. Highway 50.

With thousands of dollars in prize money at stake, the top 12 contestants in each event will compete for year-end and finals championships awards during the grandstand event.

There will be bareback riding and roping, steer wrestling and bronc riding, team roping, bull riding and more.

Advanced tickets can be purchased at Champion Boot, City Market, Crawford Western Wear, Equestrian Market, Coop County in Fruita, Greenfields Seed and Feed, Mesa Feed Mart, Murdocks and Western Implement.

Events begin at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday.

At the gate admission is $12 for adults and $9 for children. Ages younger than 6 get in free.

Parking is $2 per car. Food and drink will be available to purchase.
