Conrads records shutout for CMU

Goalie Micah Conrads only had to make three saves Sunday as the Colorado Mesa University men’s soccer team cruised to a 4-0 road win over Colorado Christian University.

Brandon Burton scored two goals on two chances. Marco Escobar and Cory Rhodes added a goal each for the Mavericks (5-4-1, 3-2-1 RMAC).

Wallace’s goal lifts Mavs past UCCS

A late goal by Ashley Wallace lifted the CMU women’s soccer team Sunday to a 3-2 victory over the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.

Wallace found the net off a corner kick in the 81st minute. All three of the Mavericks’ goals came in the second half, with Tayler Franklin connecting 11 minutes apart to erase a 1-0 halftime deficit.

Colorado Mesa (5-5, 4-2 RMAC) got six saves from Sarah Schnetzler.
