Corwin walk-off hit completes CMU sweep

Mitch Corwin came through with a one-out base hit to score Braden Box in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Colorado Mesa a 5-4 victory over CSU-Pueblo in the second game of a RMAC doubleheader on Saturday.

The No. 23 Mavericks (35-10, 29-6 RMAC) defeated CSU-Pueblo 8-2 in the first game of the doubleheader.

Jared Christensen (10-2) pitched a complete game for Mesa in the first game. He allowed two runs on eight hits and struck out six in seven innings.

Dakota Behr (3-0) picked up the victory in the second game. He allowed one walk in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Starter Dylan Evans allowed three runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.
