■ William E. Baker, 75, Clifton, died Oct. 8, 2013, at his home.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Chipeta Golf Course, 229 29 Road.
Survivors include three daughters, Deb Trackler and Diane Schaneman, both of Grand Junction, and Chandra Baker of Loveland; two brothers, Robert L. and Gary E., both of Grand Junction; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
■ Barbara Nell Bias, 73, Grand Junction, died Oct. 13, 2013, at Berkley Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Visitation will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and services at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Jay of Inwood, W.Va.; one daughter, Janet Short of Durango; one brother, J.T. Trusty of Moab, Utah; one sister, Betty Eslinger of Grand Junction; and two grandchildren.
■ Frank Melvin Bietz, 86, Grand Junction, died Oct. 4, 2013, at Mesa Manor Care Center.
ServiceS will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.Inurnment will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Mr. Bietz was a photographer.
Survivors include one son, Greg Kaz of California; one daughter, Karen Kenner of Mack; one brother, Alan D. of Lincoln, Neb.; one sister, Flora Maye Dealy of Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren ; and five great-grandchildren.

■ Jean Scott Boyum, 91, Wisconsin, died Oct. 14, 2013, at Hospice Care Center.
Private services will be held.
Mrs. Boyum was a schoolteacher.
Survivors include her husband, Clement; two sons, Ken Martin and Loran Martin; and one daughter, Janice Quinn.
■ Betty Lou Cordova, 84, Fruita, died Oct. 13, 2013.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Ms. Cordova was a bookkeeper.
Survivors include one sister, Louise Crandal of Rifle.
■ Emma Lou DeYoung, 85, Delta, died Oct. 13, 2013, at her home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Service. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Delta First Assembly of God. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Survivors include six sons, David of Delta, Michael and Francis, both of Grand Junction, Daniel of White, S.D., Patrick of Brandon, S.D., and Raymond of Bremerton, Wash.; three daughters, Phyllis Hart of Spearfish, S.D., JoAnne Campbell of Craig, and Deanna Haag of Delta; one sister, Lucille Mack of Lincoln, Neb.; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
■ Steve Haynes, 77, Grand Junction, died Oct. 14, 2013, at his home.
No services are planned.
Survivors include his wife, Petra; one son, Cisco of Grand Junction; one daughter, Manuela Haynes of Grand Junction; and one grandchild.

■ Billy D. Kissner, 49, Cedaredge, died Oct. 12, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Survivors include one son, Kurt of Grand Junction; one daughter, Danielle Toombs of Montrose; his parents, Bill and Martha Kissner of Cedaredge; three sisters, Luann Harriman of Gulfport, Miss., Judi Schmalz of Delta and Celia Avaritte of Austin; and two grandchildren.
Contributions to St. Philips Catholic Church in Cedaredge.
■ Annette Bell Lovelace, 44, Clifton, died Oct. 14, 2013, at her home.
A memorial potluck dinner will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at her home, 639 Holland St. in Clifton.
Ms. Lovelace was a certified nurses’ assistant.
Survivors include two daughters, Danyelle Bell and Kayla Bell; her mother, Madeleine Morris; one brother, J.D. Morris; one sister, Betty Jo; and six grandchildren.
■ Mark Ortiz, 42, Grand Junction, died Oct. 14, 2013, in Grand Junction.
A gathering will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at 673 Pear Drive in Fruita.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Fields; one son, Jonathon of Grand Junction; his parents, George and Corina Ortiz of Grand Junction; two brothers, Guy of Grand Junction and George of Denver; and three sisters, Donna Ortiz and Angel Bettcher, both of Grand Junction, and Bonnie Sandoval of Montrose.
■ Marjorie E. Renard, 88, Grand Junction, died Oct. 11, 2013, at Larchwood Inns.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church.
Ms. Renard was a key punch operator.
Suvivors include three sons, Richard S. Jr. of Port Orange, Fla., Thomas F. of Grand Junction and Jeffery A. of Brasilia, Brazil; one daughter, Patricia J. Schroles of Durango; one brother, John Stanton of Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Mary Perrigo of Omaha; and 14 grandchildren.
■ Robert R. Smith, 86, Paonia, died Oct. 11, 2013, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.
No services will be held.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; one son, Bob of Paonia; two daughters, Deborah Smith of Grand Junction and Donna Stapleton of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Jack of Oklahoma and Glen of Paonia; four sisters, Inez Zordel of Anchorage, Alaska, Hazel Johnson of Washington, Louise Zordel of Paonia and Betty Seaton of Farmington, N.M.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

■ Steven Benjamin Smythe, 28, Grand Junction, died Oct. 11, 2013, in Whitewater.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Clifton Christian Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
Survivors include his parents, Steven Smythe of Kingsport, Tenn., and Joan Gorman of Grand Junction; two brothers, Andrew Gorman of Grand Junction and Jonathan Smythe of Kingsport; and three sisters, Kimber Smythe of Uniontown, Pa., Aryana Gorman of Grand Junction, and Isabella Smythe of Kingsport.
■ Hazel Weatherly, 90, Grand Junction, died Oct. 14, 2013, at The Residence at Grand Mesa.
No services are planned.
Survivors include three daughters, Joanne Weatherly of Grand Junction, Linda Lawley of Clovis, Calif., and Donna Olson of Peytona, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
■ Jim L. Young, 68, Grand Junction, died Oct. 12, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon D.; two sons, Ryan A. of Grand Junction and Troy of Peoria, Ariz.; two daughters, Sheila Delach and Stacey Mittlestadt, both of Capser, Wyo.; three sisters, Carol Tider of Galesburg, Ill., Cheryl Busby of Peoria, Ill., and Barbara Leverton of Freeport, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
