Farm show in Mack with antique tractors to make its final pull
The 15th and final Roberts Farm Show will happen Saturday and Sunday, April 28–29, at 714 S Road in Mack.
Organizers Chuck Roberts and Debbie Roberts and co-host the Western Slope Antique Power Association are “closing a page of agricultural history” as they offer the public one last opportunity to see draft horses plowing the soil, preparing it for planting, Chuck Roberts said in a handwritten news release.
For years, Chuck and Carolyn Roberts and Steve and Debbie Roberts farmed the land on S Road, their homes were built across the road from each other.
Steve and Carolyn have both died and Chuck and Debbie have continued to host the show, “which, while fun, takes considerable work,” the release said.
The show will start each day at 9 a.m. and a tractor pull will take place at 1 p.m.
There will be antique engines and equipment and a vintage auto display, farm toys and implements. Visitors will be able to see an antique saw mill and a blacksmith shop. Food and drinks will be available, and admission is free.
Past shows have seen upward of 1,000 to 1,200 guests, Chuck Roberts said.
“But it’s getting smaller, too much going on that same weekend,” he added.
