Former Fruita standout hired to coach Central basketball

Central High School announced Kurt Schneider as its head boys basketball coach.

Schneider was a head coach at Granger High School in Salt Lake City the past four years. He played and graduated from Fruita Monument High School before playing college basketball at Eastern Utah College, Montana State University and the University of Southern Colorado.

Schneider replaces Phil Cain, who resigned earlier this spring.
