Iowa Western offense breaks loose

Iowa Western Community College offense produced 14 runs on 17 hits to roll to a 14-1 victory over Neosho County (Kan.) Community College in the Alpine Bank Junior College World Series at Suplizio Field.

The Reivers (60-5) scored all 14 runs in the first two innings on 10 extra-base hits. Tanner Krietemeier was 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBI. Levi Meyer was 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and two RBI.

Iowa Western pitcher AJ Gaura pitched all five innings, allowing one run on four hits and struck out five.

Neosho County was eliminated. Iowa Western will get its first day off Wednesday.
