Game 8: Iowa Western stays alive with late rally

Iseha Conklin hit a two-out, two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to lift Iowa Western Community College to a 6-4 victory over Western Nevada College in an Alpine Bank Junior College World Series elimination game at Suplizio Field.

The Reivers center fielder was 0 for 4 in the lead-off spot before the home run.

Western Nevada rallied from a 4-2 deficit with two runs in the seventh.

Kyle Gehrs limited Western Nevada to one run on three hits in two innings of relief for the victory.
