GJ loses two matches
in Legend Tournament

The Grand Junction volleyball team dropped two matches at the Legend Tournament in Parker on Friday.

The Tigers (10-11) were swept by Thomas Jefferson 25-22, 25-18, 25-22 before narrowly losing a five-set match against Rocky Mountain, 25-16, 22-25, 20-25, 25-13, 15-10.

“I thought we played well,” Tigers coach Shawna Emmons said. “Thomas Jefferson has two incredible hitters that have colleges after them already, so it was good to see us play with them.”
