Junction loses first girls lacrosse playoff game
Douglas County scored 10 second-half goals to defeat Grand Junction 17-14 in the first round of the girls lacrosse state playoffs at Mesa State College’s Walker Field.
Emma LeFebre led Grand Junction (14-1) with three goals. Kacie Jay scored two goals and had four assists. Holly Meer made 25 saves for the Tigers.
Douglas County (10-6) advances to the second round of the state playoffs this weekend.
