Mavs’ Bingaman leads CGA event

Brandon Bingaman fired a 68 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead at the Colorado Golf Association Public Links Championship at Highland Meadows Golf Course in Windsor.

The Colorado Mesa University golfer, representing Black Canyon Golf Club in Montrose, takes a 10-under 132 into the final round today. He is one stroke ahead of Steven Kupcho of CommonGround Golf Course, while four players are two strokes back, and three players are three strokes off the pace.

Bingaman entered the day one stroke back after shooting a 64 Friday. Saturday, he made an eagle and five birdies to offset two bogeys and a double-bogey.
