Mavs offense struggles in loss to UNC

GREELEY — Colorado Mesa turned the ball over four times and gave up a fumble return for a score in a 40-3 loss to Football Championship Series University of Northern Colorado at Nottingham Field.

Despite the miscues, the Mavericks (0-2) only trailed by a touchdown at halftime.

Mesa’s defense though wore down, giving up four touchdowns in the second half.

Northern Colorado limited Colorado Mesa to one field goal and 192 yards in total offense.
