Mesa State roundup, Sept. 26, 2009
Mesa State wins thriller
Two of the top hitters in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference went toe to toe Friday night at Plachy Hall in Alamosa.
Adams State’s Darcy Jennings had 27 kills to Mesa State’s Tessa Andrews’ 24, but the Mavericks came out on top in five games to remain undefeated in conference play. The Mavs (7-7, 5-0 RMAC) claimed a 25-21, 22-25, 25-27, 25-23, 15-12 victory thanks not only to Andrews’ hitting, but some timely blocking to win the final two points.
Mav tennis teams both win in shutouts
