Mesa women’s golf, tennis struggle at nationals
The Colorado Mesa University women’s golf team got off to a rough start and the women’s tennis team was eliminated in the NCAA Division II national championships.
The women’s golf team is 12th with a first-round team score of 356 at Persimmon Ridge Golf Course in Louisville, Ky. Jessica Berve and Michelle Stripp led Mesa with a 15-over-par 87.
Fifth-ranked Hawaii Pacific University defeated the Mavericks 5-0 in the Round of 16 in the women’s tennis national tournament in Louisville, Ky.
