Mesa women’s track team places six on RMAC All-Academic team

Six Colorado Mesa University women’s track and field student-athletes made the RMAC All-Academic honor roll. They are:

■ Senior thrower Sierra Wiggins with a 3.5 GPA in kinesiology.

■ Junior mid-distance runner Tara Ebarb with a 3.97 GPA in business.

■ Sophomore hurdler Jordanne Steege with a 3.85 GPA in sports management.

■ Sophomore mid-distance runner Ariel Ambler with a 3.56 GPA in nursing.

■ Sophomore sprinter Cathryn Ambler with 3.94 GPA in nursing.

■ Redshirt freshman mid-distance runner Amy Austin with a 4.0 GPA with an undeclared major.

ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

Two CMU athletes were chosen to the Capital One Academic All-District team college division as the top student-athlete in their sport. The Academic All-District teams are chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

CMU’s honorees are:

■ Junior men’s golfer Brandon Bingaman with a 3.63 GPA in exercise science.

■ Senior women’s golfer Jessica Berve with a 3.83 GPA in chemistry.
