Montrose loses to Valor Christian

Valor Christian rallied to force extra innings then defeated Montrose 7-6 in 10 innings in the Class 4A District 5 final at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch.

The Indians were one out away from upsetting the No. 2 seed, but the Eagles scored an unearned run on a dropped fly ball in the bottom of the seventh.

Valor Christian (15-5) took advantaged of another error in the 10th to score the winning run.
