Neosho County qualifies for JUCO

Neosho County (Kan.) Community College claimed the Central District championship today with a 1-0 win over Coffeyville Community College to qualify for the JUCO World Series.

Neosho (48-14) scored the only run of the game on a two-out infield single to short in the bottom of the first inning. This will be the Panthers’ second trip to Grand Junction, the first since 2003.

Polk State (Fla.) College (45-10) qualified for the World Series out of the Gulf District last week.
