Hotchkiss, Olathe lose state tournament openers

Hotchkiss and Olathe fell behind and could not catch up in the Class 3A State Championship Baseball Series in Greeley.

Holy Family took an early 7-0 lead en route to a 10-5 victory over Hotchkiss. Faith Christian added five runs late to defeat Olathe 6-0.

Hotchkiss (19-3) plays Olathe (13-9) in an elimination game at 11 a.m. Monday at Butch Butler Field in Greeley.
