Palisade drops to No. 10 in football poll

Palisade High School’s football team dropped three spots to No. 10 in the Denver Post Class 3A Media Poll following its 36-33 loss to Rifle.

The Bulldogs (7-2) close out the regular season at 7 p.m. Friday at Delta.

The Bears (9-0) remained No. 5 in the poll while Battle Mountain (8-1) moved up one spot to No. 7. Canon City is No. 1 in the 3A poll.

Montrose (8-1) remained fifth in the Class 4A poll following its 27-21 victory over Fruita Monument. Valor Christian (9-0) continues to hold on to No. 1 since the start of the season.

Olathe (6-3) moved back into the top 10 in the Class 2A poll after its 40-21 victory over previously ranked Aspen last weekend. Brush is No. 1 in the 2A poll.

Last week was the final regular season poll for Class 5A, 1A, 8-man and 6-man. A final media poll for all classifications will be released after the completion of the playoffs.
