Palisade rolls by Kennedy into 3A state semifinals
Palisade rushed for 231 yards and four touchdowns to roll to a 47-7 victory over John F. Kennedy High School in the Class 3A State Quarterfinals at Stocker Stadium.
Quinn Zamora rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown. Ronald Kuntz ran for 76 yards, one touchdown and returned an interception 35 yards for a score a day before his birthday.
The Bulldogs defense limited Kennedy to a season-low seven points and 128 yards in total offense. The Commanders came into the game averaging 48.6 points per game.
Palisade (10-2) advances to the semifinals next weekend at Silver Creek (11-1). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Everly Montgomery Stadium in Longmont.
