Palisade tops in Class 3A wild-card standings

Palisade High School leads the Class 3A wild-card standings, which determine seeding for the state football playoffs.

The Bulldogs,who won a 28-27 thriller Friday night over then-No. 1 Rifle — the Bulldogs were ranked second at the time — have 83.667 points in the Colorado High School Activities Association formula. Rifle is No. 8 with 71.667 points and Delta is 10th with 68.667 points.

In Class 4A, Montrose is No. 1 with 95.5 points and Durango is fourth with 89.333 points after the Demons knocked off Grand Junction last week.

The Tigers are No. 11 in Class 5A with 91.286 points.
