Palisade wins 2 wrestling duals in Glenwood

Palisade won both of its duals Thursday in a 4A Western Slope League wrestling triangular at Glenwood Springs. The Bulldogs beat Summit 78-6 and Glenwood Springs 51-21.

The Bulldogs won the majority of their matches against Summit by forfeit, as only four wrestlers made the trip for the Tigers.

Palisade’s Caleb Clarkson, Broderick Alexander, Braxton Stewart and Clay Kent all won by pins against Summit.

Against Glenwood Springs, Palisade lost its first match at 195 pounds before winning seven straight matches to cruise to victory. The Bulldogs won seven matches by pins.

Clarkson, Stewart and Kent were the only wrestlers to pick up wins in both duals.
