Palisade’s win streak ends in Eagle Valley

The streak is over.

Palisade’s boys basketball team had its 14-game winning streak snapped Saturday in a 60-46 loss at Eagle Valley.

Kane Gunther led Palisade (14-3, 6-1 4A Western Slope) with 23 points.

“We didn’t get ready and they outcoached us, outplayed us, outexecuted us,” Palisade coach Steve Phillips said. “We kind of played not to lose instead of playing to win. We got away from the things we were successful with the last 10-12 games.”

Teddy Grundy led Plateau Valley (5-2, 3-1 1A/2A Western Slope) with 16 points.
